Emily-Jane
An amazing and accomplished
performer, Emily-Jane's tender age
belies her ability to hold an audience
spellbound. Whether singing one of
the old jazz standards or one of her
own compositions her clear and
powerful voice has the ability to
reach to the furthest corner of the
auditorium.
Her forthcoming album is a joint
project with Peter Goodall, who has
written the music to accompany
Emily-Jane's excellent lyrics.
Pete, who has worked with many great international names over the years, was immediately impressed with Emily when she was introduced to him a few years ago. She had not worked with professional musicians before but soon showed the studio band that she was more than capable, with an innate sense of rhythm and syncopation, perfect melodic control and first class harmonies.
Emily is providing backing vocals for Thunderclap on their current tour and also has her own featured spot. On stage she confidently draws the eye, and exudes an air of professional competence way beyond her years.
This week she will start her course at the prestigious Italia Conti stage school in London, having sailed through the rigorous screening and auditions process with ease. Well done Emily!
