Featuring six choirs from across Hereford, and Hereford big Band, all coming together to record this lovely celebration of Christmas.

In the true spirit of Christmas this album, called "Hereford Choirs for Christmas", brings together the music and voices of children and adults raised in joyfulness to sing both the old favourite carols that we all know and love and some new Christmas songs with a lively contemporary feel.
There's a great original by St. Francis Xaviers RC Primary School called "Switch the Christmas Lights on", to the tune of "Hound Dog", while Weobley County Primary sing "Camel Boogie Woogie" and "Nuttin' for Christmas".
For the traditionalists, we have the Hereford Cathedral Junior School singing "Once in Royal David's City", "Ding Dong merrily on High" and "Away in a Manger", as well as "All things bright and beautiful" and "I don't care for Christmas snow".
Weobley High School sing "Year of the Lord" and "Baby's born in Bethlehem"; Our Lady's RC Church Contemporary Singers give praise with "Hail Mary", while the Belmont Abbey Choir sing of "A Maiden most gentle" and "This is the Truth - The Hereford Carol".
The Hereford Big Band play the timeless "Moonlight Serenade", and all the Choirs join together to "Wish you a Merry Christmas".
"Hereford Choirs for Christmas" was recorded on location and at Hereford Music Studios, and is being sold and distributed for fund raising purposes only, in aid of St. Michael's Hospice, Hereford.
